Former students return for school celebration

Posted: 13th February 2019

An evening of celebration saw former students welcomed back to Forest Hall School.

The class of 2018 – who left Year 11 in the summer – were invited back to the school to collect their GCSE certificates and receive various awards across the subjects.

The annual Key Stage 4 presentation evening saw student of the year, subject and house awards given out by director of Year 11 Paul Conlon.

Hannah Jones, head of school, said: “The evening is about celebrating how much our students achieved over the five years of their secondary education at Forest Hall.

“It was a really nice evening and was good to see where our former students are now and to get feedback from parents.

“This was a very successful year group who achieved the school’s best Progress 8 score with their fantastic GCSE results. The event was also an opportunity to acknowledge how our young people changed and developed socially, emotionally and culturally in their time with us.”

Old photos of the students and prom footage were shared at the event.
