Forest Hall School Honours Remembrance Day
Posted: 11th November 2025On Sunday, 10th November, Headteacher Mr. Dustin Schuyler, accompanied by Student Leadership Team members Georgina Powell and Maisie Capp, proudly represented Forest Hall School at the Stansted Mountfitchet Community Remembrance Day Memorial Service.
Together, they laid a wreath on behalf of the school, paying tribute to the brave men and women who served and sacrificed for the freedoms we cherish today. Standing alongside local residents, veterans, and community leaders, they reflected on the courage, resilience, and unity that continue to inspire generations.
Mr. Schuyler said: “Remembrance Day is not only a time to honour those who gave everything, but also a reminder to our students of the values of respect, gratitude, and community service that we hold dear at Forest Hall.”
For Georgina and Maisie, the experience was deeply moving. Representing their peers, they expressed how important it felt to stand in remembrance and gratitude, carrying forward the legacy of those who came before.
As a school community, we remain committed to remembering the past, recognising the sacrifices made, and educating our young people about peace, respect, and hope for the future.
“At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them.”
