Safeguarding
BMAT Schools each have a Local Advisory Board (LAB) which are actively involved in all aspects of school life. It is the responsibility of the Local Advisory Boards to ensure that all members of our school community are safe and have equality of opportunity in line with this policy and our Equality and Diversity Policy.
The Local Advisory Boards work with school staff to support school improvement and monitor the impact of projects and initiatives.
The Local Advisory Boards in BMAT take seriously their responsibility under section 175 of the Education Act 2002 to safeguard and promote the welfare of children; and to work together with other agencies to ensure adequate arrangements within our Trust to identify, assess, and support those children who are suffering harm.
The Designated Safeguarding Lead for Forest Hall School is Mary Thorne.
